Van School Program Trip Options
Sky Ranch School Programs hopes to offer a quality Outdoor Education experience at an affordable rate. Contact us anytime for availability and for any pricing questions that are not answered here. Sky Ranch is a non-profit organization, therefore all charges are set based off of meal costs, staffing needs and operating expenses.
Outdoor Education Field Trip Dates:
Our OE program runs on a normal school year calendar, usually from mid-August through mid-May. Our summer camp program and youth retreats take up all of our space in the summer but you can always call if these are the dates that your group needs. Please contact us to see if your dates are open at (903) 266-3311. Groups are typically able to rent our facilities year-round with the exception of Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter weekends.
Outdoor Education Rates :
The following rates are for our OE program and include all of your classes, our teaching staff, the number of meals listed, the number of dorms and rooms needed, possibly an extra teacher cabin, one free teacher per 10 students, and evening activities. We have lower rates available for schools who bring their own teachers and simply want to rent out our facilities. (All rates are per person and include meals as stated, lodging, meeting rooms, and activities unless otherwise stated. These rates are accurate until August 15th of 2007)
For August, September, October, November, March, and April:
Day Trip : $ 40.00 (not including lunch or ropes course)
1 Night, 2 Days: $ 105.00 (includes 4 meals, 2 classes)
2 Nights, 3 Days: $160.00 (includes 7 meals, 4 classes)
3 Nights, 4 Days: $210.00 (includes 10 meals, 6 classes)
4 Nights, 5 Days: $260.00 (includes 14 meals, 8 classes)
Parents staying for one night and no meals: $75
Parents staying for meals only: $7.50 each meal
For May:
Add $10 to the above price for any trip staying 2-4 nights
For December, January, & February:
Day Trip : $ 35.00 (not including lunch or ropes course)
1 Night, 2 Days: $ 95.00 (includes 4 meals, 2 classes)
2 Nights, 3 Days: $150.00 (includes 7 meals, 4 classes)
3 Nights, 4 Days: $205.00 (includes 10 meals, 6 classes)
4 Nights, 5 Days: $230.00 (includes 14 meals, 8 classes)
Parents staying for one night and no meals: $75
Parents staying for meals only: $7.50 each meal
Suplemental Insurance Available:
Schools are able to purchase Sky Ranch insurance coverage for their students for an additional $1 per day per student. You will receive more information on this in your contract and upon booking.
Deposit Policies:
To reserve dates, Sky Ranch requires a deposit of 10% of the minimum number of guests along with the signed contract. The deposit is non-refundable and will be deducted from the final total when your group pays. Schools are allowed to pay with a PO and make special arrangements if needed. Final payments are due upon your arrival to Sky Ranch.
Cancellation Policies:
You can cancel your contracted Outdoor Education at any time up to 90 calendar days prior to it’s beginning dates. In doing so, you agree to forfeit the deposit. All cancellations (including postponements) must be made in writing. If we cancel this agreement at any time within the 90 calendar day period prior to the beginning date of our retreat, regardless of the date of the contract signing, you understand you will be responsible for only 80% of the guaranteed minimum.
